DELFT, the Netherlands – After a 2.5-km (1.6-mi) pull-in at Dor, Allseas’ Solitaire has started pipelay on the Karish gas field development in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Over the next few weeks, the vessel will lay 90 km (56 mi) of export gas pipeline in water depths up to 1,750 m (5,741 ft), ending with a 100-metric ton (110-ton) end structure (PLET).

To ensure 24-hour production, the Solitaire will be fed a continuous supply of about 7,500 joints by Allseas’ supply vessels Alegria, Felicity, and Fortress during the project.
