    Two Allseas pipelayers are in Rotterdam

    Allseas says that for the first time, the world’s two largest pipelay vessels, Solitaire and Pioneering Spirit, are together in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

    DELFT, the Netherlands – Allseas says that for the first time, the world’s two largest pipelay vessels, Solitaire and Pioneering Spirit, are together in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

    After completing work for Equinor’s Troll Phase 3 project in the Norwegian Sea, the Solitaire returned to Rotterdam to prepare for her next assignment, offshore Israel.

    For Troll Phase 3, the Solitaire pulled-in the 36-in. pipeline to Troll A platform and installed a 26-km (16-mi), 36-in. concrete-coated pipeline and two inline tees. The company also designed, fabricated, and supplied materials for laydown heads and installation aids.
