Integrated CCS development approach
SLB will coordinate concept and FEED studies covering the subsurface and monitoring of stored CO2 in the reservoir, and the injection wells.
The SLB OneSubsea joint venture will deliver the concept and the FEED for the subsea injection system, comprising the template manifold, all-electric trees, control system, umbilical and distribution system.
This integrated approach, SLB explained, should improve technical coordination across the storage system and lessen the number of technical and contractual interfaces.
The studies will help the Havstjerne partners devise the basis for the project’s technical, cost and schedule requirements basis ahead of a final investment decision. An appraisal well drilled last year confirmed the reservoir was suitable for CO2 injection and storage.
