More than 10 staff members are working on preparations for the planned well, including the operations manager, expanding to more than 20 by the end of March 2023.

The company has issued a call for tenders for a rig, and it expects to make its selection during first-quarter 2023.

It also has placed an order with suppliers for equipment for the well, and at the same time is mustering offshore resources for the environmental studies, which are due to be completed by the end of June.

All TotalEnergies teams are working in collaboration with the Lebanese Petroleum Administration to ensure that drilling is completed as soon as possible next year, the company added.
