Aker BP extends North Sea platform drilling deal with Archer

Aker BP has awarded Archer a five-year contract to provide platform drilling operations and maintenance services on the Ula and Valhall platforms in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

HAMILTON, Bermuda – Aker BP has awarded Archer a five-year contract to provide platform drilling operations and maintenance services on the Ula and Valhall platforms in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

The contract takes effect from Jan. 1, 2021, in direct continuation of Archer’s current program, and includes a three-year extension option.

The full scope covers platform drilling, maintenance services and intervention support and further integrated engineering, rental equipment, and well services.
