Maersk Drilling has secured a one-well contract offshore Egypt from an unnamed operator.

LYNGBY, DenmarkMaersk Drilling has secured a one-well contract offshore Egypt from an unnamed operator.

The semisubmersible Maersk Discoverer will start the 21-day program later this month, in direct continuation of its current contract in the region. Estimated value is $3.8 million.

The DSS-21 column-stabilized, dynamically positioned rig was delivered in 2009. After completing the campaign in Egyptian waters it will undergo a scheduled Special Periodic Survey, before heading west across the Atlantic to work offshore Trinidad and Tobago.
