OSLO, Norway – AS Norske Shell has contracted Dolphin Drilling’s semisub Borgland Dolphin for a program at the Knarr field in the Norwegian North Sea starting next February.

This involves drilling and completion of a gas production well – currently the rig is working for i3 Energy in the UK central North Sea on wells at the Liberator oil field and the Serenity prospect.

For the Shell contract, Dolphin Drilling will be working under the operator’s One Team system with integrated drilling and completions providers in a water depth of around 450 m (1,476 ft).
