ONS 2026: Innovation Awards finalists spotlight subsea, hydrogen and electrification technologies

Ten companies and projects have advanced to the finals of the ONS Innovation Awards 2026, showcasing technologies ranging from subsea gas compression and remote operations to hydrogen and clean-energy solutions.

Large company finalists

  • Archer: Electro-Chemical Metal Removal (ECMR)
  • A/S Norske Shell: Ormen Lange Subsea Gas Compression Project
  • Hitachi Energy: EconiQ LTA 420
  • Reach Subsea: Reach Remote
  • DNV: H2Pipe Joint Industry Project and DNV-RP-F123 recommended practice 

The finalists will present their innovations during ONS on Aug. 24, with winners to be announced during the awards ceremony on Aug. 25 in Stavanger. ONS said the shortlisted innovations highlight emerging technologies and approaches that could help shape the future of the global energy industry.
