ABERDEEN, UK – HB Rentals has introduced the first ATEX Zone one pressurized A60 rental cabins to the UK continental shelf. HB Rentals is to build a fleet of 50 ATEX Zone one modules, designed to BSEN 50381, at a cost of about £8 million ($13 million). The modules, designed for all climates, will be used for well services, including measurement while drilling and mud logging. The modules are 16 ft (5 m) and 20 ft (6 m) by 8 ft (2 m). The introduction of the cabins, the company says, represents the next generation of well service in the North Sea, providing the highest safety and technology standards in the world.
