ABERDEEN, UK – Wellbore cleaning specialist Coretrax claims to have achieved savings of nearly £10 million ($14.46 million) in rig time since 2012 for UK offshore operators.
The company has deployed its CX-range which includes the CX-2 bridge plug, designed to reduce cement disturbance.
Combining drillpipe cleaning tools with CX-2s and disposable scrapers has saved trip time,Coretrax says.
Earlier this year, the company completed setting its 150th bridge plug as part of a UK offshore abandonment.
During the campaign it ran around 40 bridge plugs combined with swarf recovery strings and drillpipe cleaning tools, with a 100% success rate.
