Leviathan on target for late 2019 start-up

HOUSTONNoble Energy’s Israel division has added 3.3 tcf of natural gas to its reserves base following sanction of the deepwater Leviathan field development.

It added a further 292 bcf as a result of performance revisions at the producingdeepwater Tamar field.

During 4Q 2017, gross production from the Israeli offshore fields averaged 911 MMcf/d. Early in the quarter, Noble completed planned maintenance at Tamar ahead of schedule, which contributed to 98% uptime during the period.

Currently, development at Leviathan is around 40% complete. Construction of the production platform is under way, as are preparations to mobilize the drilling rig for the development wells, and the project remains on budget and on schedule for first gas by the end of 2019.
