The Mermaid Commander diving support vessel is currently operating in the Gulf of Thailand.
Mermaid Subsea Services (Thailand) has entered a joint venture agreement with DS Global Offshore Engineering Singapore, a subsidiary of Chinese private company DS Global Offshore Engineering (Tianjin).
The duo plans a reactivation and commercial development of the offshore support vessel Mermaid Commander, which will be repaired by DS Global.
Upon completion, it will be renamed DS Mermaid Commander.
The partnership’s newly established joint venture company in Singapore will oversee the reactivation and subsequent deployments of the vessel.
