Nortechs to convert tanker to FPSO

Nortechs FPSO Pte Ltd. has signed a contract for the purchase of tanker M.T. Songa Anette for conversion into a generic FPSO.

SINGAPORE -- Nortechs FPSO Pte Ltd. has signed a contract for the purchase of tanker M.T. Songa Anette for conversion into a generic FPSO.

Another vessel Nortechs converted into an FPSO, theEast Fortune, obtained a contract based on its availability to deploy within short notice.

This 1989-built panamax will be converted in accordance to DNV standards and classed for operations for at least 15 years without drydocking. FPSOSonga Anette will hold 460,000 bbl, and produce 30,000 b/d of oil, 25,000 b/d of water, and 30,000 b/d of other liquids.

The generic FPSO will feature topsides that allow for expansion and inclusion of a water injection, gas lift, and/or gas compression modules, which can be installed with a minimum disruption to operations and uptime.
