INPEX secures accommodation support rig for Ichthys offshore Australia

Floatel International is to provide an accommodation and construction support rig for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG project, 220 km (137 mi) offshore northwest Australia.

HAMILTON, Bermuda – Floatel International is to provide an accommodation and construction support rig for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG project, 220 km (137 mi) offshore northwest Australia.

The location is at the western edge of the Timor Sea, in 250 m (820 ft) water depth.

Floatel has nominated its latest newbuildFloatel Triumph for the work. The rig is due for delivery in December 2015.
