MARSEILLE, France – Bourbon has agreed to sell two 10-year-old, Norwegian-built anchor-handling supply tugs for a total of $130 million. This represents a gain to the company of around $63 million.
It will continue to operate theBourbon Surf and Bourbon Borgstein for up to five more years, with an annual bareboat charter cost of 13% of the transaction value.
Bourbon says its strategy isto refocus its fleet on modern fuel-efficient ships built in series.
