ONGC drillship undergoes overhaul at Hindustan Shipyard

MUMBAI, India — Indian Register of Shipping and Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. have completed the renewal survey of ONGC's drillship Modu Sagar Bhushan, under the management of Shipping Corp. of India.
The program involved renewal of more than 1,500 tons of steel renewed, and installation of new machinery items to replace existing equipment, expanding the scope of survey and certification. All work was completed in 10 months.
Following the steel renovations, the ship was undocked with all the newly installed machinery and passed sea trials.
