SINGAPORE – Australian regulator NOPSEMA has completed its review of DNV’s report on remediation plans concerning tank leaks onboard the Montara FPSO.

According to operator Jadestone Energy, the "General Direction" order issued to the company last September concerned its proposals for repairs and operational readiness of the vessel, located over the Montara Field offshore northwest Australia. These followed the detection of leaks and structural defects in certain tanks.

The General Direction is now closed, and hull and tank repairs and the four yearly planned topsides maintenance activities on the vessel are said to be progressing, with Jadestone targeting operational readiness and a production restart later this month.
