Prosafe rigs active in the North Sea, offshore Brazil

STAVANGER, Norway – Six of Prosafe’s offshore accommodation support rigs currently have contracts, the company revealed in its latest statement.

The Safe Zephyrus has been in a yard in Norway preparing to start a 10-month assignment at bp’s ETAP complex in the UK central North Sea in support of the Seagull tieback.

Nearby, the Safe Caledonia is alongside TotalEnergies’ Elgin platform on standby, preparing to re-start operations in March. The rig has a firm program of work through December.

Since completing a contract for CNOOC at the Buzzard field center, the Safe Boreas has been at a yard preparing to start work for a three-month (plus options) contract for ConocoPhillips at Ekofisk in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

Off Brazil, the Safe Eurus continues to provide safety and maintenance support to Petrobras. Its contract runs until March 2023, and could be extended.

The Safe Notos’ contract for Petrobras has been extended to mid-July 2022.

Off Trinidad and Tobago, the Safe Concordia is currently engaged on a project until mid-March.

The Safe Scandinavia is idle and laid up in Norway. Prosafe added that the impact from COVID-19 remains challenging, with isolated cases still occurring in its fleet.
