ABERDEEN, UK – Decommissioning specialist Well-Safe Solutions has completed the HSE Safety Case for the jackup Well-Safe Protector, which the company acquired last September.

Following a shipyard stay in Norway, the rig was transported across the North Sea in December to Invergordon in northeast Scotland.

It then underwent a special periodic survey, during which all operational equipment was fully re-activated and tested.

Well-Safe’s team is now focused on integrating all the company’s processes and systems by taking lessons from the experience with the semisubmersible Well-Safe Guardian ahead of rig acceptance audits in the coming weeks.

The HSE Safety Case was submitted, and approved by the UK regulator ahead of schedule, with support from Marex. It was a seven-month project involving over 105,000 manhours of work.
