ABERDEEN, UK – Well-Safe Solutions has awarded Fugro a three-year contract to support subsea well decommissioning performed by the semisubmersible Well-Safe Guardian.
Fugro’s scope covers ROV services, rig positioning and remote operations, with the company’s remote operations center in Aberdeen supporting the campaign to reduce the number of Fugro personnel required onboard the Well-Safe Guardian, for efficiency/safety reasons.
Kevin Chambers, Fugro’s ROV service line director, said: “Our teams’ skills and experience in plug and abandonment and the decommissioning of offshore wells perfectly complement the expertise of Well-Safe Solutions.
“We will also add value through our extensive knowledge of marine asset integrity.”
