Shell prolongs Brazil FPSO lease terms

MONACO – SBM Offshore has secured a five-year contractual lease extension with Shell for the FPSO Espirito Santo.
The vessel operates at the BC-10 field in the Campos basin offshore Brazil. The lease and operate period, which was due to terminate in December 2023, now runs until December 2028.
SBM Offshore has a 51% equity stake in the associated lease and operating companies, with MISC Berhad holding the remaining 49%.
Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. has also initiated discussions with the company on potentially lease and operate durations extensions for FPSOs on the Stabroek block off Guyana.
