LONDON – ONGC has successfully moved 33 jackups working offshore India to new drilling locations ahead of the coming monsoon season.

Consultant AqualisBraemar’s team of mariners, structural and geotechnical engineers collaborated with ONGC’s rig move team on the campaign.

All the rigs were placed at their monsoon locations before the approach of seasonal storms: 24 rigs were moved on to or from wellhead platforms and nine others to open locations.

Combined total towing distance for all rigs was around 1,900 nautical miles.

AqualisBraemar provides marine warranty services to ONGC’s fleet of jackups and mobile offshore production units in Indian waters.
