PARIS -- Bourbon Subsea Services and Schilling Robotics have jointly developed a new ROV design for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of subsea infrastructure.
The HD ROV is a robot Work Class-type, with a more compact design and less energy consumption, the companies explain. Its design is suited to handle loads of up to 3,000 kilos in 3,000 m (9,843 ft) of water.
Bourbon expects to take delivery of two HD ROVs in the second half of this year.
