(Rotterdam) Total E&P has awarded Subsea 7 a $70 m contract for subsea engineering works in the Dutch North Sea. The company will engineer, procure, construct and install an 8-in. diameter flowline and umbilicals, as well as managing associated tie-ins and pull-ins. The EPCI element will include fabrication of the subsea protective structure and pipeline end manifold.

Offshore installations will be phased throughout 2007, all activity taking place in 40 m water depth in the K6 central complex. Total and its partners are developing the K5F gas field which will export production via this complex to Gasunie's onshore distribution network in The Netherlands.
