Viper Subsea receives hydraulics order for Caspian Sea development

Viper Subsea has won its largest-ever contract, for an oil field development in the Caspian Sea.

PORTISHEAD, UK – Viper Subsea has won its largest-ever contract, for an oil field development in the Caspian Sea.

The company will supplysubsea hydraulic and electrical distribution equipment, with the option to provide a support team to oversee installation and commission of the equipment.

Earlier this year, Shell joined BP and Total inViper’s joint industry project to develop a subsea line integrity monitoring (V-SLIM) system to identify and locate faults in remote subsea electrical distribution systems.
