HOUSTON  Eni and partner Petroci have contracted Baker Hughes to supply subsea systems for the Baleine Phase 2 project offshore Côte d’Ivoire, said to be Africa’s first Scope 1 and 2 net-zero emissions development.

The scope of the award covers eight deepwater trees, three modular compact Aptara manifolds (pictured above), the subsea production control system, flexible risers and jumpers.

Baker Hughes said it would deliver a configured consignment, with a focus on cost effectiveness, optimized installation and life-of-field value.

The modular design of the main components would help cut lead times, the company added.
