Expro nets four subsea well system orders offshore Australia, Malaysia

Expro has won subsea well access contracts in the Asia/Pacific region with a combined value of more than $50 million.

ABERDEEN, UKExpro has won subsea well access contracts in the Asia/Pacific region with a combined value of more than $50 million.

Offshore Australia, the company will support abandonment of 18 subsea wells and the removal of open-water production trees, using its intervention riser system to access the wells and perform P&A.

In addition, it will deliver a subsea completion landing string package and a high-rate surface well test system for a new subsea project offshore Australia.

Expro will provide large-bore electro-hydraulic subsea landing string equipment for a deepwater campaign drilling campaign in Malaysian waters, a follow-up to earlier work in the region in 2019 and 2020.

Finally, Shell has contracted the company to provide a subsea landing string package for four development wells at the Gumusut-Kakap deepwater field off Malaysia.
