C-Kore subsea tools to test Mero 1 umbilicals

YORK, UK – TechnipFMC has contracted C-Kore Systems to supply subsea testing tools for the Mero 1 project in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil, operated by Petrobras.
C-Kore’s tools will provide subsea electrical verification of the umbilicals following installation.
The company’s products include a cable monitor unit, designed to confirm the insulation resistance and continuity of the electrical lines while its subsea TDR unit localizes anomalies within 20 cm.
