YORK, UK – C-Kore Systems has completed a subsea campaign for an unnamed major operator offshore Nigeria, in collaboration with VAYCO Oil tools and local Nigerian partner Cranium Engineering.
The operation, in a water depth of more than 1,000 m (3,281 ft), facilitated swift testing of umbilicals and electrical flying leads for regulatory compliance and rectification of identified subsea faults.
C-Kore’s subsea tools include a cable monitor unit which tests the insulation resistance and continuity of the electrical line, and the new sensor monitor unit, said to read subsea sensors without the need for a subsea control module.
