OSLO, NorwayDNO International and its partners have selected the Oseberg complex to host the Brasse field subsea tieback in the Norwegian North Sea.

Brasse contains estimated reserves of 35 MMboe and would entail a relatively modest topsides construction scope on Oseberg, DNO claims. The company is targeting sanction for the project in 2022.

Other Norwegian field developments that could go forward involving the company are Iris/Hades and Alve Gjøk in the Norwegian Sea, and the Orion/Syrah and Trym South discoveries.

DNO also expects accelerated infill drilling in the Ula area and on the Brage field in 2021.

During 2Q, the company participated in three North Sea wells, including an infill well at Ula that should come onstream during 4Q.

Appraisal has also started of Wintershall Dea’s Bergknapp discovery with drillstem testing and side tracking.

DNO’s full line-up this year comprises five appraisal and exploration wells, four development wells for the Fenja-Njord tieback in the Norwegian Sea, and six infill wells at Ula, Oda, Tambar, and Brage.

Decommissioning also continues of the shut-down Oselvar field in the southern Norwegian North Sea and at the Schooner and Ketch fields in southern UK gas basin (all DNO-operated).
