OSLO, Norway – DNO International plans to step up investments in projects offshore Norway following the government’s proposed temporary tax incentives.

In a trading statement, the company said it was revisiting development options for its Brasse field in the North Sea, with a view to submitting a plan for development and operation (PDO) next year.

In addition, it is assessing options for the Iris/Hades, Fogelberg and Trym South discoveries, with PDOs possible in 2022, and accelerating planned infill drilling at the producing Ula, Tambar, and Brage fields in the North Sea in 2021.

Appraisal drilling on Wintershall Dea’s recent Bergknapp discovery – the largest to date offshore Norway this year – is currently scheduled for 2021, and DNO is now targeting participation in four to six wildcat wells on the shelf annually.
