Island Drilling semisub to drill North Sea wells for Dana Petroleum

Dana Petroleum has contracted Island Drilling Co.’s Island Innovator semisubmersible for three firm and optional wells in the UK North Sea.

SANDSLI, Norway — Dana Petroleum (E&P) has contracted Island Drilling Co.’s Island Innovator semisubmersible for three firm and optional wells in the UK North Sea.

The contract, which could last 110 days, is due to start next April with a total value of $30 million.

It is also Island Drilling’s second contract from Dana Petroleum.
