ULSTEINVIK, Norway – Dana Petroleum has awarded Island Drilling Company AS a one-well contract on the UK continental shelf.

The harsh-environment semisubmersible Island Innovator is expected to start drilling the BP-7 well in the northern North Sea in April 2022.

The contract includes three extension options.
