Sapura Energy has entered an agreement to sell the Sapura 3000 pipelay/crane vessel for $71.5 million.

SERI KEMBANGAN, Malaysia — Sapura Energy has entered an agreement to sell the Sapura 3000 pipelay/crane vessel to Safeen Feeder Co. – Sole Proprietorship LLC (part of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group of Companies) for $71.5 million.

The vessel, which has a 3,000-t revolving mast crane, was built in 2008 for deepwater and shallow-water activities. It is sailing under the flag of Malaysia.

Sapura Energy expects to complete the sale by mid-July.
