SHARJAH, UAELamprell has issued an update on its offshore construction projects at its sites in the UAE.

Having completed the engineering phase on the International Maritime industries drilling rigs, the Hamriyah yard is undergoing preparations for fabrication and construction. Delivery remains on track for 2022.

Another contract involves construction of 48 jackets for the Moray East wind farm offshore Scotland. So far 32 jackets have been delivered to the client at the quayside in Hamriyah.

Recently, Lamprell also secured an order for 30 jackets project for the Seagreen wind farm off eastern Scotland, its third major project in the renewables sector. Initial steel deliveries are already on site.

Lamprell’s bid pipeline currently totals $5.5 billion. Despite the impact globally of COVID-19, the company sees encouraging prospects from its Saudi Aramco long-term agreement and in the growing offshore wind segment, with emerging opportunities in the USA and Asia.
