SHARJAH, UAE — Lamprell has completed construction and delivery of the first of two newbuild jackup rigs being constructed for International Maritime Industries (IMI).
The Kingdom 1 rig, built by ARO, IMI and Lamprell, is based on the LeTourneau Super 116E design with accommodation for up to 120 people. The second should be delivered in the next few months.
Lamprell has now completed 29 newbuild jackup drilling rigs for various clients.
