PAPENDRECHT, the Netherlands — Boskalis’ activity on 29 offshore wind projects last year accounted for half the group’s offshore sector revenue, the company said in a results statement.
The line-up included large-scale installation projects offshore Taiwan and Europe, and the company also completed its first wind project in the US.
Among the highlights of activity performed by the Marine Transport & Services business division was the transportation of the heavily damaged, 330-m-long FPU Zafiro Producer on the BOKA Vanguard to a scrapyard, in cooperation with Salvage. The production vessel previously worked for Exxon Mobil on Block B offshore Equatorial Guinea.
More recently, Boskalis acquired ALP Maritime, adding anchor-handling tugs to its fleet.
