OSLO, Norway — LLOG has contracted ABL to perform marine warranty survey services for the subsea Salamanca development in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

This relates to the Leon and Castille oil fields in water depths ranging from 1,800 m to 2,000 m, and it involves installation of three infield subsea pipeline systems as well as the design and fabrication of subsea structures.

The pipelines will connect the wells to the Salamanca floating production platform.

ABL’s Houston division, supported by the company’s marine surveyor network around the GoM, will provide technical document review and approval of all project-critical procedures, drawings and documentation, and inspections of the designated fleet for subsea operations.

It will also provide onsite attendance to review/approve transportation and mobilization operations of project assets.
