Shell awards Worley GoM digital, engineering contract

Shell Offshore Inc. has awarded Worley a three-year engineering and procurement services contract to support five of its assets in the U.S. GoM.

SYDNEY, Australia — Shell Offshore Inc. has awarded Worley a three-year engineering and procurement services contract to support five of its assets in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

According to Worley, the program will support Shell’s transition to a digitized, more efficient project delivery model for the offshore maintenance as it seeks to lower the carbon intensity of its GoM portfolio.

In addition, the contract terms allow for future for the deepwater Whale development.

Worley will provide digital enablement services, engineering, procurement and support fabrication and construction, executed from its offices in Metairie, La., and Houston, with the assistance of its engineering teams in India.
