ABU DHABI, UAE – ADNOC has signed framework agreements for concept and FEED services for major projects with eight global engineering contractors.

The combined scope is valued at up to $1 billion, with 50% potentially flowing back into the UAE economy under ADNOC’s in-country value program between now and 2026.

Companies signing framework agreements were AMEC International (part of the Wood Group), Fluor, McDermott, Mott MacDonald, SNC-Lavalin International Arabia – Abu Dhabi (part of the Kentech Group), Technip Energies, Worley, and a joint venture between Tecnicas Reunidas and NPCC.

All agreements will run for five years, with an option for a two-year extension. All eight contractors have also committed to establish and operate training programs to further develop local expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer.

By structuring the framework agreements with a group of top-tier contractors instead of procuring smaller individual agreements, ADNOC added, the tendering cycle was reduced by months, with competitive rates negotiated by leveraging long-term contracts that service the company’s full portfolio.
