LUANDA, AngolaEni and Sonangol have signed an amendment to their production-sharing contract for block 15/06 offshore Angola.

Following theKalimba 1 discovery on the concession in June, Eni decided to accelerate the exploration program and a new four-well campaign is under way.

If this leads to further commercial finds they will be fasttracked for development through the existing infrastructure.

Block 15/06 is 350 km (217 mi) northwest of Luanda and 130 km (81 mi) west of Soyo in water depths ranging from 200-1,800 m (656-5,905 ft).

The developed fields Sangos, Cinguvu, Mpungi, Ochigufu e Cabaça S.E. are tied back to the FPSOsNgoma and Olombendo, with an overall oil treatment capacity of 200,000 b/d.
