LONDONIndependent Oil and Gas (IOG) says talks continue with CalEnergy Resources (CER) on the latter acquiring 50% of two licenses in the UK southern North Sea containing the Harvey and Redwell gas prospects.

This is despite CER allowing an option period for participation to expire.

Based on results from last summer’s 48/24b-6 Harvey appraisal well, IOG estimates mid-case recoverable gas volumes at 40 bcf here and 100 bcf at Redwell.

The company continues surface re-mapping and modeling of the area to improve definition of its commercial potential.
