Brava starts production from new Papa-Terra well offshore Brazil

A new Papa-Terra well has begun producing offshore Brazil as Brava Energia works to boost output from one of its key Campos Basin developments.

The Papa-Terra tension-leg wellhead platform is part of the Papa-Terra Field development in Brazil's Campos Basin, where Brava Energia recently brought another production well online as part of an ongoing drilling campaign.

Brava Energia has brought another production well online at the Papa-Terra Field offshore Brazil, continuing a drilling campaign aimed at boosting output from the Campos Basin asset.

Brava has started production from the PPT-52 well, following authorization from the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama). 

This is one of four new production wells in a current drilling campaign on the Papa-Terra and Atlanta fields in the Campos and Santos basins. 

Production from PPT-52 is still undergoing stabilization, the company added.

The startup marks the latest milestone in Brava's redevelopment efforts at Papa-Terra, where the company has been expanding production through a multi-well drilling campaign.

The Papa-Terra Field is located in about 1,200 m of water in Brazil's Campos Basin. Brava operates the Papa-Terra Field with a 62.5% interest, while Chevron Brasil holds the remaining 37.5% stake.
