TotalEnergies has started production from two deepwater subsea tiebacks offshore Angola.

These will increase production through the Pazflor and CLOV FPSOs in offshore Block 17 by 60,000 bbl/d.

BEGONIA, Angola’s first offshore inter-block development in Angola, involved a cooperation between the block 17/06 and 17 partners.

The development, 150 km offshore, comprises five wells tied back to the Pazflor FPSO.

CLOV Phase 3 is 140 km offshore Angola. This is a four-well, 20,000-bbl/d development connected to the CLOV FPSO, using standardized subsea equipment.

Nicolas Terraz, president Exploration & Production at TotalEnergies, said with these new projects, the company was leveraging available production capacity in the FPSOs while also reducing costs and emissions.
