More Jubilee wells online, pressure support action ongoing

LONDON — Tullow Oil brought onstream three new wells at the Jubilee oil field offshore Ghana during the first quarter, the company said in an operations update.

Last month, a further producer well came online, and this should be followed by a startup of a further water injector well during the current quarter.

That will conclude the current Jubilee drilling program, about six months ahead of schedule.

However, rates from the most recent production wells are lower than pre-drill expectations. Tullow continues to work to optimize pressure support across the field.
