EL DORADO, Arkansas – Murphy Oil says production from its block K and Sarawak projects offshore Malaysia averaged more than 37,000 b/d of liquids during 4Q 2016, while associated Sarawak natural gas production averaged more than 115 MMcf/d.

Major turnarounds at the company’sFPSOKikeh and Sarawak FSO, both completed ahead of schedule, reduced production by around 4,900 boe/d during the period.

Elsewhere, Murphy Oil recently farmed in to the Gulf of Mexico Hoffe Park prospect with a 25% working interest.

Located in Mississippi Canyon block 166, Chevron drilled the well late in 4Q 2016 and successfully encountered hydrocarbons. Well operations have been suspended pending determination of the appraisal plan for the discovery.
