Crondall to continue Lancaster FPSO support

Hurricane Energy has contracted Crondall Energy to provide engineering support during the early production system phase of the Lancaster oil field development, west of Shetland.

ABERDEEN, UK – Hurricane Energy has contracted Crondall Energy to provide engineering support during the early production system (EPS) phase of the Lancaster oil field development, west of Shetland.

This extends Crondall Energy’s current involvement with the project as the client’s engineer, supporting the operator with the delivery of the Bluewater-ownedFPSOAoku Mizu, which will be used during the EPS phase.

Crondall will support the operator’s project team during the engineering and procurement phase of the FPSO in Europe, the currentvessel upgrades in Dubai, and the installation and start-up of the Aoku Mizu at the Lancaster field.

Hurricane Energy received consent from the UK authorities for the EPS in September.

The Lancaster field is in blocks 205/21a, 205/22a and 205/26b in water depths of around 155 m (508 ft). First oil is expected in the first half of 2019.
