RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) reports it set records for monthly, annual, and daily oil production averages over the month of December.
The monthly average reached 2.12 MMb/d and the daily record went to 2.256 MMb/d on Dec. 27. Those contributed to the new annual record of 2.003 MMb/d. Petrobras said five new wells in Campos basin came online during December adding a total of 100,000 b/d.
The new wells are CHT-9 and BFR-3, in Cachalote and Baleia Franca fields, both connected to FPSO Capixaba; wells JUB-9 and JUB-14, which produce connected to the newly installed P-57 platform, in the Jubarte field; and CRT-43, which was given the working name Carimbé and is a producer in the pre-salt layer of the Caratinga field, which is connected to platform P-48.
