Eni and partners reach milestone offshore Angola

Eni and its partners have met a key milestone toward first oil of West Hub development project. The N’Goma FPSO is set to sail to the offshore site block 15/06 in Angola to begin mooring and hook-up operations.

SAN DONATO MILANESE, ItalyEni and its partners have met a key milestone toward first oil of West Hub development project. The N’Goma FPSO is set to sail to the offshore site block 15/06 in Angola to begin mooring and hook-up operations.

The project will mark the return of Eni as adeepwater operator in Angola. The West Hub project is the first development that will come onstream among the blocks awarded in Angola's 2006 licensing round. It is scheduled to start by year-end 2014The project includes the Sangos, Cinguvu, and Mpungi fields, and involves the drilling of 21 subsea wells, 12 producers, four alternate water and gas injectors, and five water injectors.

Water depths range between 1,000 m (3,281 ft) and 1,500 m (4,921 ft). A second, similar, development project is also being executed (East Hub) to exploit the reserves discovered in the North Eastern area of the same block.
