HONG KONGCNOOC has started production from the Bozhong 19-6 condensate/gas field Phase I development in the central Bohai Sea offshore eastern China.

Average water depth is about 20 m. Production facilities include a newbuild central processing platform, three unmanned wellhead platforms and a gas process terminal.

CNOOC expects to drill 42 production wells, 20 gas injectors and three water source wells, with peak production of 37,000 boe/d next year.

CEO and President Zhou Xinhuai said, “The project is the first condensate gas field with a proved in-place volume of over 200 Bcm of natural gas that has been put into operation in Bohai Bay, relying on the Bozhong-Kenli oil fields onshore power project. The gas field will supply stable clean energy to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Bohai Rim region…”

CNOOC operates the project with a 100% interest.
